How Vadzo Imaging serves Biometric Access Control requirements?
Access control systems have been around for a while. They were designed to establish a system where entry of person into a premise is allowed only on authentication. This was earlier done manually where the person could talk to a person inside the premise and request for permission to enter. Then, cameras were added to the system so that the person inside the premise could the see the person asking for the permission to enter. Now, the system is getting modernized where the control systems in becoming more intelligent. The authorized people are registered in the system and when they approach for entry, the system does the recognition and authorization.
This is where Vadzo Imaging and our engineering expertise plays a role. We have analyzed the needs of this market and have aligned our camera portfolio to ensure the access control systems are getting good quality images and videos that enables the algorithm to make the right decisions.

Facial Recognition

Iris Recognition
Facial Recognition
Biometric Authentication based on facial recognition is becoming more and more popular. In the method, a person’s face and head are user to identify a person by leveraging certain unique biometric pattern and data. This method relies on collecting set of biometric data of each person associated with their face and facial expression and using them to identify, verify and/or authenticate a person.
Thus the camera system used for capturing the facial image is very critical. The camera needs to perform well under different conditions to produce reliable images.

Vadzo Imaging, based on its experience and market analysis, believes that the following vision requirements would enhance the capabilities of facial recognition systems.

High Resolution

Auto Focus

Dynamic Range

Iris Recognition
Iris recognition is another biometric method to identify and authenticate people. In this case the unique patterns within the ring shaped region surrounding the pupil of the eye is leveraged for the authentication purpose. Iris recognition is becoming the most sought after method owing it its high resistance to false matches and higher search speed.
The camera needs to be capable of capturing all the features and identity markers presented by the person’s iris which is a smaller part of the person’s face. Thus, the camera system needs to capable of maximising the sensor active area for the iris capture and have a good lighting system to ensure capture the unique markers.
Vadzo Imaging, over the years, have understood the key requirements that Fleet management solution manufacturers need the camera system to satisfy.
